As a solo musician, Melina enjoys playing Bach and American folk music on the violin (or mandolin).
As a duo, there are of course more possibilities. Melina regularly plays with a cellist or guitarist at weddings and other events.
Her string quartet prefers to play pop, rock and film music, with anime being their speciality. Of course they also play Beethoven, Vivaldi, and other classical repertoire.

About me
Melina holds a Bachelor’s and two Master’s degrees from the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where she studied with Ulrich Gröner and Alexander Sitkovetsky. She attended master classes by John Holloway, Jacqueline Ross and Esther Hoppe.
Today Melina is an active member of the Zurich Symphony Orchestra and the Zurich Chamber Philharmonic, 1st violinist of the Limmat Quartet, and conductor of the Baars Mandolin Orchestra. She teaches violin and mandolin at the Kreis Vier music studio. Melina performs regularly on the Swiss country music scene as a violin and mandolin player with the band Full Moon Rodeo.
