My musical background is classical music on the one hand and blues and jazz on the other. After graduating in 1991, I performed mainly with classical programs. When I met the singer Fiorentina Talamo with southern Italian roots, I fell in love not only with her but also with traditional Neapolitan music. Through making music and giving concerts together, my musical palette was enriched. By founding the ensemble arco d`oro with cellist Hristo Kouzmanov and percussionist Marcello Mosca, we discovered new musical horizons. The bubbling energy, tonal variety, passion and dramaturgy are the characteristics of our very own music. As the name arco d`oro suggests, we create bridges between different musical styles: From baroque to tango, Neapolitan villanelle and arias, tarantelle, gypsy ballads, swing and Latin. The arrangements, in which there is always room for spontaneity, bear my unmistakable signature.
