My repertoire ranges from opera and operetta to lied and oratorio. My main focus is on classical music, romanticism and impressionism. However, I am also open to other epochs and styles and can fill in as a singer in a professional ensemble or as a soloist, even at short notice.

With my singing I always bring a special touch to private occasions. Here I sing arias or songs with piano accompaniment as desired and lead through the programme with an interesting and at the same time refreshing presentation.

About me

I studied choir direction at the Musikhochschule Basel as well as singing and piano in the Netherlands and then went to Berlin and Vienna for further studies. Numerous engagements have taken me as a singer to houses such as the Hamburg State Opera, the Théâtre National de Luxembourg, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Gasteig Munich, the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie Berlin. As a soprano, I have performed in more than ten different countries, including with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Paris Chamber Orchestra.

At present I sing mainly recitals and concerts in Switzerland, where I also work as a singing teacher and direct various choirs and ensembles.

As a cultural worker, I have created a concert and cultural series, as well as the cross-art salon “Maja & Friends”, where I combine music, visual arts and literature. The salon has already taken place over 50 times in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Musicians, actors, authors, directors and visual artists from over 15 different nations have been guests.
