In April 2009, John Michet obtained his piano teaching diploma at the SSPM in Gilles Landini’s class.
During his studies, he directed several choirs in the Neuchâtel region with which he brought vocal music to life in his region and heard several of his compositions. He also uses the choirs as a “composition laboratory”. He obtained his “Master in Composition and Music Theory” in September 2020 at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) in the class of Xavier Dayer.
He teaches piano at the International School of Lausanne (ISL), privately in Boudry and in Coffrane within the Swiss Society of Music Pedagogy (SSPM), of which he is president of the Neuchâtel section, and the Network of Music Teachers of the Val-de-Ruz (ReProMRuz). He is organist-pianist at the Saint-Blaise temple.
John performs as a solo pianist, in chamber music and as an accompanist.
He has taken several piano masterclasses with Edith Fisher and Josep Colom and composition with Gilbert Nouno, Simon Steen-Andersen and Stephan Prins.
