About me

The trumpeter and flugelhorn player Christoph Mäder was born and raised in Bern in 1964. He received his first trumpet lessons at the age of nine. He graduated with teaching, orchestra and concert diplomas. He then continued his studies at the Swiss Jazz School with Bert Joris.
In the 1990/91 season Christoph Mäder played as a volunteer in the Bern Symphony Orchestra, where he subsequently worked for many years. He is a permanent member of various orchestras, including the Bernese Chamber Orchestra and OPUS, as well as the Duo i duoti.
