Are you curious and looking for an original and different programme? Then you’ve come to the right place! For more than 20 years I have been passionate about exploring forgotten composers and I love to share this joy of discovery with my audiences. My recital concerts are based on a main theme, mixing well-known works from the large repertoire with other forgotten pieces from the same era. Similar to a visit to an art exhibition, a short explanation of each piece helps the listener to reconstruct the historical context of the work, especially in the case of the lesser-known pieces today.
The repertoire is quite extensive. About me
Adalberto Maria Riva, Milanese, winner of numerous national and international prizes, has given around 900 concerts in Europe and the USA. He is passionate about exploring unknown repertoire and regularly presents it in concert and recital cycles, without forgetting his considerable discography activity. His numerous recordings of Swiss, Austrian and Italian music, often as world premieres, have been highly appreciated by the international press. His collaboration with RTS-Espace 2 for Musique en mémoire, Magnétique, Disques en lice and Versus has been going on for several years. He is accompanist of the Conservatoire de l’Ouest Vaudois and founding member of Harmonia Helvetica and Momenti Musicali, cultural associations dedicated to the promotion of classical music in Italy and Switzerland.
